Serious fishing talent on loan for 4 Wednesday nights

2018 Hatches Presentations

Beginning this Wednesday evening @ 6:30 p.m. and continuing for the next three weeks (4 classes total) a fine instructional staff has been organized to present a wide ranging view of the South Branch hatches,  the flies that imitate them, and presentation skills to hook the hungry trout.

Winter fishing has been terrific.   Plenty of fish are in the waters and the cold is fleeing. 

The team presenting has thousands of combined hours of expert fishing experience and teaching techniques ready for your enlightenment.

2-21 Tim Flagler -  Tightline Productions, L.L.C. is a video production company located in Califon, New Jersey. Since their start in 1997, they have produced video programs for broadcast, DVD and the web, over a wide range of topics but their specialty is fly tying and fishing.

2-28 / 3-7 John Collins – a master a tying flies and a terrific guide John will lead a class loaded with tips and techniques.  John’s Youtube postings are highly sought for his skillful creations.

2-28 / 3-7 Jim Holland – A lifelong fisherman, Holland teaches at Villa Walsh Academy and is a co-owner of Shannon’s Fly and Tackle Shop in Califon. He writes a fishing column in the Black River Journal and sponsors numerous children’s events along the South Branch. His words hold the audience and insights make each of us a better fisherman.

3-14 Matt Grobert   -  An accomplished fisherman, author and instructor Matt will be in the clean-up position tying all the loose ends together for the 2018 Hatches series.

All classes will be held at the Raritan Inn conference room.

$40.00 per class for members, $65 for non-members.
